The rapper said that if his rival Kanye West sold more albums than him, he would stop singing. The verdict has fallen : in England, Kanye West is better than 50 Cent. The latter cancels his tour.
50 Cent just cancelled his tour in Europe without any explication. Only the media know the answer.
The American rapper, real name Curtis Jackson, released his third album Curtis last week, the same day as his rival Kanye West with Graduation. Recently, 50 Cent said he would stop his career if Kanye West was better than him, he means, in the charts. "If Kanye West sells more albums than 50 Cent on September 11, I won't do music anymore" he said, speaking with third person. "I will write songs for solo artists but I won't make records anymore" he said.
The problem is that numbers have come. In France, 50 Cent enters N°3 with 22,000 albums sold and Kanye West is N°10 with 6,100 albums sold. The latter is currently N°1 in England.
On the other hand, Universal launched a new site : thisis50.com. In English (foreign translations should come next), this site proposes articles and photos in a blog. Check out the "Interact" section with fans talking with themselves but also with 50 Cent ! You could ask him your questions before September 22, he will answer them this weekend.
