Fans of the American rapper are disappointed... His new album, which should have been released on December 15, is postponed to February 2009, according to a communiqué from the French label Polydor : discover his new video.

"Get Up", 50 Cent's new song, is the first single from his fourth album Before I Self Destruct, which should have been released on December 8, then December 15, now postponed to February 2009. No American release date has been scheduled yet... Dr. Dre & Eminem should have participated to the American rapper's new songs, including "Norman Bates Motel". "Times are hard. Everybody tries to take what's best for them" the American rapper said. "I want to offer something more for my fans, more than their money. They're going to have bonus when they buy the album".

The album is darker & more aggressive than the previous ones, including a 90-minute unreleased film, written & played by 50 Cent. The film is about a young boy, Clarence, who fights after his mother's death. "My film is about hard reality happening in some communities" "Candy Shop" singer said. "Some will identify themselves as the characters, others will be shocked by the film's scenes. I made the film for both".

Before I Self Destruct will be released on 3 formats : CD only, Deluxe version with the film & collector version including the documentary about Jam Master Jay (Run DMC member).

The American rapper's new video has been directed by the Strause brothers, those who directed "Alien vs. Predator".
