Great song. Check out the Danny Lohner Remix also off the Underworld Soundtrack. Both songs are awesomely great. Something that would fit perfect to a midnight drive down a long dark road with the top down. |

| I love the song and the lyrics....what is a bible basher....is that someone who reads and lives by the bible or someone who chooses freedom from christianity.... cause maybe i'm confused about the meaning of the song?? |

Wow this is my fave APC song, I fucken love it! The lyrics rule but I reckon Three Libras has more meaning- don't you? |

| Totally different meanings. This one is all about blind faith.. very anti-christian kinda thing...(Judith=Maynards mother.)...
While 3 libra's is... about being, ignored and overlooked I think.
I love em both. Spectacular songs... |

Nice music and all, but very angry lyrics. Someone said Judith is maynards mom? I wonder if they had a falling our or anything, i'm not really up to speed with his background. But, yeah music is cool, nice tune to it...but the lyrics, a little to angry, and I deff don't agree. |

to the person who spoke before me... I think this CD has a lot of religious references... Magdelena can be seen as Magdeline... Judith could possibly be a reference to Judas, the betrayer. Perhaps when he is saying F*** your God, your Christ... he is actually referring to Judas having a worldly Christ in the form of bribery. Because his betrayal was ultimately his demise, "your Christ has abbandoned you"... just a different perspective. |

| It is said he wrote it about the suffering of his mother Judith Marie Keenan/Garrison who died, about her blind faith despite her suffering. He also said the person it was about never would hear it because of the nature of the song.
APC's and Tool lyrics are left kinda vague so each person can have their own meaning for them.
What ever it is all about, this is an incredible song writen by an incredible writer. |

Judith was a woman like Ester in the Bible. She was a beautiful and pious widow. She promises to deliver her people after rebuking them for losing their faith in God when under siege of the Assyrians. She pretends to be an informant against her side. She charms one of the leaders with her beauty and he invites her into his tent for a banquet. She gets him drunk or poisoned and beheads him. The Israelites win that battle over the Assyrians b/c of Judith.
Hope this clears things up. Incredible song. Maynard is a god. |

This song has nothing to do with the bible, get the dvd, aMOTION and turn on Maynards commentary, then watch the video, he tells you all about it. |

"your such an inspiration
for the ways I'll never ever choose to be"
This song has such powerful lyrics!
Howvever I don't really don't view this song as anti-christian as much as anti-any religion where people just follow blindly without questioning anything... that could be said for muslims, pagans, christians, whatever.
I have faith...just not blind faith.
anyway questioning sometimes lead to deeper faith...its human nature to question things. |

The song's about misplaced blame.
About praising what makes you dirty and ill.
It's an incredible song.
Anyone with faith, anyone who got it, anyway, would surely question it. |
