Akon wows fans at concert

 PETALING JAYA, MALAYSIA: The surf beach at Sunway Lagoon here turned into a mega dance floor last night as the crowd rocked to song after song by Senegalese-American singer Akon.
After waiting for more than an hour, the crowd cheered as the Smack That singer appeared on stage at 9.15pm, belting out the first song of the night Cross That Line, setting the mood for the party.
The fans responded enthusiastically to Akon, who is performing for the third time in the country.
The 15,000-strong crowd bopped their heads and hung onto every note the 32-year-old churned out throughout the 90-minute show.
Dubbed the Akon Freedom Beach Concert, the event saw the singer performing a string of hits which included Don't Matter, Dangerous, I Wanna Love You, Smack That and Sweet Escape.
Akon first wowed Malaysians when he performed at a club in Kuala Lumpur in 2007.
A few months later, he returned for another successful show at Perdana Lakeview East, Cyberjaya.
