2 years after his album Konvicted, Akon will be back with his new album Acquitted in May. The first single should be a duet with Michael Jackson...
Fans of the R&B singer Akon won't have to wait too long for the singer's new album : it will be released in May. "The album is nearly over & it's called Acquitted" said the singer to MTV News.
Akon would like the first single from this new album to be a duet with Michael Jackson. The 2 artists worked together recently. Some media said that Jackson finished his recordings before this one. But a duet with 2 artists from differents record companies isn't simple. Also, the King of Pop should pay some debts...
Akon also appeared on Michael Jackson's album Thriller 25th Anniversary Edition, celebrating 25 years of the album release, with Kanye West, Fergie & Will.I.Am. He remixed "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin' 2008".
"It's an international album. It's so strong. Michael is the only one I could collaborate with. The other tracks are also strong" Akon said.
