Concert at Paris' Alhambra

29-11-2008 19:24 | 0 reaction(s) | add reaction | add news
Tonight, latest concert at Paris' Alhambra for Alain Chamfort. The dandy singer will sing his hits, from "Manureva" to "Malaise En Malaisie" & also "Géant" & "Ce N'Est Que Moi". A real delight !

Impromptu Dans Les Jardins Du Luxembourg was a particular event organised by Alain Chamfort in May 2005. The singer was in the Parisian garden for a "surprise" concert with guests like Vincent Delerm, Dani, Helena Noguerra, Bertrand Burgalat & Skye. This live, going back on 30 years of career, has been released on CD & DVD (classic & limited edition).

Alain Chamfort (whose collaboration with EMI ended on the major's decision) is back at Paris' Alhambra, for concerts, ending tonight (November 29).

Quiet charm. But only visible. This dandy, whose sense of humour is like his album from 1997 (Personne N'Est Parfait), started his career more than 30 years ago, helped by his total opposite : Claude François. The tall brown-haired & the small fair-haired, Claude Nougaro sung it ! This experience revealed him, but he prefers his 3 albums with Serge Gainsbourg, with the hit "Manureva". Hits followed but were less brilliant, like "L'Ennemi Dans La Glace" & "Clara Veut La Lune". Opposite to the media, the audience still loved him & he has been saved by Bertrand Burgalat & his band AS Dragon. A nice idea who pleased Marc Di Domenico, responsible of Henri Salvador's come-back. And it was "the great come-back of a superb has been", sung by Chamfort himself in his album Le Plaisir (2003), with lyrics written by his old friend Jacques Duvall (except "Juste Avant L'Amour", by Michel Houellebecq), the man who was behind Lio's famous "Banana Split".
