Tribute to Yves Saint-Laurent

Alain Chamfort will release his new album Une Vie Saint-Laurent on February 16, 2010, the first single is "À La Droite De Dior" : listen to a short clip !

Impromptu Dans Les Jardins Du Luxembourg was a particular event organised by Alain Chamfort in May 2005. The singer was in the Parisian garden for a "surprise" concert with guests like Vincent Delerm, Dani, Helena Noguerra, Bertrand Burgalat & Skye. This live, going back on 30 years of career, has been released on CD & DVD (classic & limited edition). His next album will come out on February 16, 2010 (on February 9 on legal download) : Une Vie Saint-Laurent.

6 years after his previous studio album, Alain Chamfort proposes 16 new songs, telling Yves Saint-Laurent's life. The artist takes us on a trip in the changing French society, discover homosexuality, feminism, mass media... The first single, aired on radios, is "À La Droite De Dior", with lyrics written by Pierre-Dominique Burgaud ("Le Soldat Rose") & music by Alain Chamfort & Jean-Philippe Verdin.

This trip takes us during 50 years, an exceptionnal destiny however filled with melancholy.

Alain Chamfort (whose collaboration with EMI ended on the major's decision) comes back, signed to XIII Bis Records. The album will be available on 2 formats : a Digipack on the site vente-privee.com (like Patricia Kaas' Kabaret) & a book & disc version. The book will include lyrics, sheets, photos of Yves Saint-Laurent's life & a biography written by Robert Murphy.
