| Song lyrics |
We chase misprinted lies
We face the path of time
And yet I fight
And yet I fight
This battle all alone
No one to cry to
No place to call home
Oooh...Oooh...
Oooh...Oooh...
My gift of self is raped
My privacy is raked
And yet I find
And yet I find
Repeating in my head
If I can't be my own
I'd feel better dead
Oooh...Oooh...
Oooh...Oooh...

This song was definitely Layne's cry for help. Great, haunting song and the guitar strings just do it for me, man. | 07-09-2004 07:36 ickleangel2003 | 19 posts

This was Layne's cry, but Layne was far too addicted. Cantrell looked after him, so don't blame the band. Definately a masterpiece itself.

| This was NO WAY THE BANDS FAULT, Layne was very addicted, its just a shame that people who were close to him in general didnt try a little harder in the early stages of it. Its such a shame, but not a waste, he brought and will continue to bring happiness to all who enjoy his music. | 19-11-2004 05:23 Mr_bLunts | 106 posts

theres not much you can do for an addiction like that. when your that far gone its pretty much over for you. lets just be thankful that he could still perform at the level of excelence that he did. RIP Layne | 11-03-2005 16:50 Micola | 89 posts

I guess the common man as I can never understand why a genious like Layne did what he did to himself. Even the greatest ones need help sometimes, just too sad noone forced him into a drug rehab clinic until he was entirely clean. Here`s to you Layne | 13-03-2005 05:06 Slifer | 125 posts
| Lol he went into rehab 7 times and it just came back. When they found him, he was 80 pounds and laying on needles. He was gone, whether alive or dead, he was gone. | 01-07-2005 18:53 e80kse | 1,401 posts

you guys are acting like it was ok that he ODed as long as he gave u music and it sounds kinda selfish
Lanye was a rebel, its no ones fault but his, dont blame his family or the band for what he did to his self
I know layne would want you blamin his friends and family no matter what happened to him
Lanye was a great human being who lost a fight to drugs, plain and simple
RIP Layne

| actualy when they found him he had been dead for over 3 weeks in his bath tub and his body was so badly decaid that the only way they could id him was from the few teath he had left because of the heavy speedballs use. | 15-09-2006 14:40 Micola | 89 posts
