Alizée Jacotey was born on August 21, 1984 in Ajaccio, Corsica. She spent a happy childhood with her parents & her little brother. She started dancing at 5 & also took acting & singing lessons. At 11, she won a contest, drawing a model for a plane. Later, she participated to "Graines De Star", performing Axelle Red's "Ma Prière" & winning twice. The red-haired singer Mylène Farmer chose Alizée as her protégée & the girl's debut single "Moi... Lolita", released in 2000, sold more than 1 million copies in France.
Her first album Gourmandises, written by Farmer & composed by Laurent Boutonnat, has been certified platinum with 300,000 copies sold in 3 months. In 2003, Alizée released her second album Mes Courants Electriques, produced by Boutonnat & Farmer again. During her short pause, she married Jérémy Châtelain & her daughter Anny-Lee was born in April 2005. In 2007, Alizée signed to RCA & released her third album Psychédélices. |
