Whereas she should have performed there last year, the singer postponed her concert, for lack of reservations, to March 28. Now, this is definitely cancelled.
Times are hard for "Moi... Lolita" singer (N°2 in 2000) in her native country... Only there, because she's successful in Mexico, where her concerts are sold-out ! Funny destiny for former Mylène Farmer's protégée, born in Corsica, "Graines De Star" contestant in 1999 & today married to former Star Academy contestant Jérémy Châtelain.
Alizée should have performed on October 23, 2008 at Paris' Grand Rex, following her third album Psychédélices (only 40,000 copies sold). The very beautiful cinema hall, which can be a concert hall, is not a big one, but the singer postponed her show to March 28, 2009, for lack of reservations. For some days, the news is bad : she cancelled her concert that was scheduled !
No other date has been given yet.
Following her controversed talent, Mylène Farmer takes care of her career, her image & her music videos. When Alizée has been revealed in 2000 at 16 years old, the singer took care of the little Corsican girl, from Laurent Boyer's show "Graines De Star" on M6. Also a producer, Mylène wrote lyrics (her friend Laurent Boutonnat composed the music) for Alizée & the single "Moi... Lolita" sold 1.5 million copies. Her first album went on Top, Alizée got M6 Awards & NRJ Music Awards & went on tour in Russia, the Netherlands, Germany, then in Canada, Japan & even the UK. In 2002, 4 million discs have been sold in Europe.
