568 posts | This is one of those songs which I paid absolutely no attention to when it came out, and probably would never have liked it in the slightest - had it not been turned into a psuedo footy anthem courtesy of Sky TV.
After it was used as the opening song to live Premiership football for a whole season a year or three back, and after being in a pub where we were all singing along to it - sureal as it was - I cant help but hold a little fondness for it. Strange how a song written about one thing can so completely capture the emotion of something else. |
