I was waiting for my takeaway dinner last night, watching Top Of The Pops in the pizza shop, and I saw that this was number 1, and I was so happy... got a few weird looks though. The guys at school have been playing the Arctic Monkeys for ages, and I bought the single on Friday. Love track 2 more than this one, but this is good. Go Arctic Monkeys! |

This was the 1st ever time an artist had gone to no.1 here in the U.K. and i'd never heard of them before. I heard it fir the 1st time this sunday and I thought it was rubbish. It knocked off The Sugababes, with a not so good song itself. So didn't really bother me that much. |

I really can't see what the fuss is about them. I suppose it makes a change that stuff like this makes it to number 1 but there is a lot better unknown bands tha deserver reconigtion.  |

| arctic monkeys r cool
seen them 2wice live, once before they'd released anything and i was not very impressed, mainly because i dint kno hu they were but after a bout on kazaa, a few word learnin sessions and a 2nd gig, plus a couple of released singles i cna say i think ther bloody fantastic. AND northern which is always good, no offence i also love southerners but cnt deny tht its good to see some decent northern music bein recognised...futureheads, maximo park etc
