 Dutch DJ/Producer Armin van Buuren just released 'This Is What It Feels Like', the first single from his 5th artist album 'Intense', which is due May 3rd.
It took the world's #1 DJ, Armin van Buuren, three years to complete his highly anticipated fifth full-length studio album, INTENSE, the follow-up to his 2010 artist album 'Mirage'. On April 5th, the first single from 'Intense' has been released: 'This Is What It Feels Like' featuring Trevor Guthrie. Voted the world's #1 DJ the unprecedented fifth time by the readers of DJ Magazine in its annual 'Top 100 DJs' poll, 'Intense' shows van Buuren spreading his wings musically beyond the electronic dance music (EDM) sound of trance his millions of worldwide fans have come to expect. Guthrie, a Canadian singer-songwriter and former member of the 1990's band, SoulDecision, teamed with van Buuren on 'This Is What It Feels Like'. On the single, van Buuren fuses the elements of dance, rock and pop into one cohesive song primed for the mainstage. Said Armin van Buuren: "It's been an intense three years in the making. Being a perfectionist, some of these tracks have taken me months to finish. I've tried to incorporate as many real instruments as possible, including a live orchestra and the rock band of my brother, Eller, Bagga Bownz. It's been an honor to work with such talented artists, singers and songwriters." 'This Is What It Feels Like' proves that van Buuren is not a prisoner of his own world-renown style of EDM. A feel-good song that nevertheless soars and rushes with extraordinary production, 'This Is What It Feels Like' is the perfect introduction to van Buuren's long-awaited fifth album. Most of the month of May will see Armin van Buuren touring North America in support of his INTENSE album. Dates will be announced soon. In the meantime, the Dutch DJ tours the globe with his A State of Trance 600 'The Expedition' tour, with shows in Kuala Lumpur, Mumbai, Miami, New York, Guatemala and Den Bosch.
