 Emmanuel Katché was born on October 27, 1958 in Saint-Maur-Des-Fossés, France. He started classical dance at 5 then played the piano 2 years later. He studied at Paris' Conservatoire where he got the first prize in percussions. At the same time, he played drums in small bands & played for Jean-Jacques Goldman & Michel Jonasz.
