| Shy'm (real name Tamara Marthe) was born on November 28, 1985 in Trappes, France. Her stage name came from the English adjective "shy" and the M of "Martinique" because of her origins. As a child, she loved to dance, but she also liked to sing and was a good pupil (she got her Baccalaureat at 17).
