| Alain Souchon (real name Alain Kienast) was born on May 27, 1944 in Casablanca, Morocco. He grew up in Paris with his father, an English teacher & his mother, a writer. Shy & melancholic, he skipped school. His mother sent him to England where he discovered The Rolling Stones & The Beatles : Alain started playing guitar & composing.
