 Marc Lavoine was born on August 6, 1962 in Longjumeau, France. In his teens, he hesitated between acting and singing and started to write songs. However, at the age of 16, he became a member of an acting club and was an usher at Paris' Olympia. He attended many concerts with French stars, and met Fabrice Aboulker, who became his composer and producer.
