 Début De Soirée was formed in 1985 by 2 Frenchmen, Sacha Goeller, former radio boss & William Picard, DJ from Aix-En-Provence. In 1987, they released a single "Mister DJ" under the name Yankee. Their band name came from a sentence in that song. In 1988, "Nuit De Folie" was their biggest Euro-Dance hit, N°1 in France, followed by "La Vie La Nuit" the same year.
