 Axel Bauer was born on April 7, 1961 in Paris, France. His father was Django Reinhardt's drummer. Axel started playing piano and guitar but when he attended a The Who gig, it was the revelation ! He met producer Michel Eli, and in 1983, his first single, "Cargo", sold 700,000 records. The video of the song, in black-and-white, was directed by Jean-Baptiste Mondino.
