 Thomas Fersen was born on January 4, 1963 in Paris, France. In his teens, he started playing jazz guitar and was a member of two punk bands, UU & Figure of Fun. In the early 80's, he got his baccalaureat and started studying electronics. In 1986, he found his stage name : his first name came from the footballer Thomas Boyd and his last name came from Hans-Axel de Fersen, Marie-Antoinette's Swedish lover.
