 Benjamin Biolay was born on January 20, 1973 in Villefranche-sur-Saône, France. He grew up in a musical universe (his father was an amateur clarinettist) and was interested. He played violin and tuba in a symphonic orchestra. Then, at 17, he changed and founded a pop music band. In 1992, Benjamin made his first demos thanks to one of Liane Foly's lyricists, but they stayed in maquettes.
