20 posts | Song comment @ Always On My Mind There is no one around today, or any time for that matter, that can put so much heart, soul and feeling into their music like Elvis did. His voice was one in a million. His music transcended all generations and genres of people and music. He is something the likes of which we will never see again. I wasn't an Elvis fan growing up in the 70's and 80's, I was big into the metal scene and the hair bands. But as I got a little older and my tastes in music widened, I became an Elvis fan. In the words of Neil Young, "The King is gone but he's not forgotten". |

| 1 posts | Album comment @ Today Elvis Today was probably the best album from Elvis in the 70's. Originally released in 1975 by RCA (now Sony/BMG) it had great rocking songs like T-R-O-U-B-L-E and Shake A Hand; powerful balads like And I Love You So and Pieces Of My Life, and great country songs like Susan When She Tried, Fairytale and Green,Green Grass Of Home. Elvis definetely put his heart here and his voice was in great shape. |
