 Die lange und ereignisreiche Geschichte der Ärzte beginnt 1980 in Berlin: der Dekorateurslehrling Dirk "Bela B." Felsenheimer trifft auf Gymnasiast Jan "Farin Urlaub" Vetter im Punkschuppen Ballhaus Spandau. Jan steigt als Gitarrist bei Dirks Band Soilent Grün ein, doch Anfang '82 zerbricht die Band.
