I used to know this woman who had the most beautiful

| Dude, first of all, whether or not his sexuality is in question, calling someone gay in this context is never a burn. But enough of my rabble rabble, I agree, slug is a great story teller. From the opening seconds of the song you know its gunna be somethin special. I got a few friends who listened to it but couldn't get into the song but this is one of my top 5 favorites of Slugs. | How can you not know what this song is about, it seems so cut and dry to me...
...to me, its about the good and evil that can be seen in everything on earth, slug saw this in that girl, she was beautiful, like something sent from the heavens, but then she tried to tempt him and he got affraid and ran (when she bit her bottom lip), and to me, slug realized this and then he talks about good and evil in each individual fire, cause fire is neutral, its good and bad, and you just have to keep your spirit inspired and in good hopes and then you can face evil and over come it (she can bite her bottom lip all she wants) | | 17-04-2005 19:19 lolalo |

My first issues is taht the narrators sexuality is obviously not the point of this tale, My second issue is the meaning of the song, its not about good and evil even though someone said its ''cut and dry'' and the song actually says heaven and hell. the woman was a victim of a rape at a very young age, before her womanhood. her as a woman had never yet been with a man. she revealed something to the narrator and it was a harsh realization for him and it made everything in his life make sense. im gonna end this here, but think about it that way, seriously... | | 26-10-2005 13:22 kitchenwitch |

What comes up for me is polarities (good/evil, God/the Devil, male/female), which would be what intrigues Slug most (woman to his man). All spiritual practices are about aspiring toward the union of polarities (buddism, hinduism, tantric practices, earth based spitituality). The woman is a feminine physic vampire, "aggresivly passive" (masciline vamps get their energy by being aggresive outright). Vampires are created when the illusion of seperation rules that person's reality. When we don't have the awareness that all we see exists within us, we are reduceed to trying to steal/manipulate love from others. This reality is as addictive as masturbation; not to knock jacking off  ! I think saying she's never been with a man is a way of saying she'd never been in a functional realationship.
