10 posts | rhythm melody instruments lyrics vocal ok let me set everyone straight here number one the name Avenged Sevenfold is taken from the bible Genesis chapter 4 (paraphrase) "to anyone whoe ends cains misery vengeance will be taken on him sevenfold" next the ong chapter 4 is about tje story taken from the bible about cain and abel cain offered a sacrifice to god but it wasnt his best and abel gave his best sacrifice to god god showed favor to abel and cain became jealous so he killed his brother and trie to hide it from god. so god sent him away and said that anyone to kill cain for vwngeance will be aveged sevenfold hence the bads name ok and number two Avenged Sevenfold are not a christian band tey make refernces to the bible but not in a worship te lord kinda way Shadows was quoated inRevolver magezine saying that there references are strictly musical and to get a point also they said they do not really take it too seriously if yo listen to their singe Beast and the Harlot it says "if you wanna serve above" (Heaven) "or be a king below with us"(hell or hell on earth) you see that they are not a christian band for obvious reasons. on the other hand i like this band alot i have been with them ever since 2001 when sounding the seventh trumpet hit y cd player i loved Waking the fallen and i love city of evil all great cds and all great songs. oh and no more they suck now cause he doesnt scream any more quotes HE HAD SURGURY TO REPAIR WHAT HE HAD HE BURST EVERY BLOODVESSEL IN HIS THROAT HE SINGS TO THE BEST OF HIS ABOILITY NOW AND ITS A NEW SINGING NOT A CRAPIER ONE OPEN UR MIND AND USE YOUR HEAD HE CANNOT SCREAM OR ELSE HE WONT BE ABLE TO TALK. thank you that is all your q's answered |

17 posts | It's nice that A7X is being played on television, but it's also a little mainstream that they're on vh1 and MTV. Actually, vh1 is okay...but MTV?
Not many people like it when bands scream, but they dont realize that they also sing[obviously] and the lyrics are genious. But it was a good move to put them on TV. Now many more people share the obsession with me. |

Its the story of 2 brothers. one is jealous so he kills the other one. Kinda like in the song right? So God punishes the murder to live with eternal guilt of what he did to his brother. The whole chapter is pretty gross blood everywhere lol. Kinda interesting huh? Avenged Sevenfold is a totally Biblical band. If you listen to them a lot then hopefully u have noticed a ton of references to the ONE aka God. They arent like Christian or anything they just make lots of references to the bible. >
