'Girlfriend' leaked online!

 "Girlfriend" has been announced as the first single to be released from Avril Lavigne's upcoming third album The Best Damn Thing. The song is described by Avril herself as being "fun, fast, hard, cocky and playful" and was produced by Lukasz "Dr. Luke" Gottwald. Blender Magazine described it as "the perfect pop-punk single." The single was set for release on January 29th 2007, but has reportedly been pushed back due to the success of current single "Keep Holding On" . The video will world premiere on TRL and Much On Demand on February 26. The song was leaked onto the internet via a fansite on Febuary 5th.
