This autumn, one of the world's most beautiful voices will be back, Barbra Streisand. The singer will release her new album Love Is The Answer on September 28.
Barbra Streisand's new album Love Is The Answer will come out on September 28. The singer will be a cabaret & jazz artist, between clarity, depth & an exceptionnal maturity, so the listener could listen to jazz standards about power of love, splits & calm.
It's her first studio album since Guilty Pleasures in 2005. For the first time, Barbra Streisand collaborated with Diana Krall & her quartet, who arranged this new album nicely. "Memory" singer also teamed up with singer-songwriter Johnny Mandel, who helped her on her album Back To Broadway in 1993.
Barbra Joan Streisand was born on April 24, 1942 in Brooklyn. She's the female artist who has sold most albums in the United States : 50 gold albums, 30 platinum albums & 13 multi-platinum albums. She also won 8 Grammy Awards during her career.
Also an actress ("Funny Girl", "Hello Dolly", "Yentl", "A Star Is Born"...), she won 2 Oscars & 9 Golden Globes. On June 28, 2007 at Paris' Elysée in France, she has been decorated "Officier de la Légion D'Honneur".
Among Barbra Streisand's greatest hits, there are "Memory", "Cry Me A River", "Woman In Love", "Guilty", "Somewhere", "Till I Loved You" with Don Johnson (N°22 in 1989) & the latest, "Tell Him" with Céline Dion (N°4 in 1997).
