1 posts	rhythm melody instruments lyrics vocal look guys i think ur all missing the message in the song - this guys singing about how his girlfriends having an abortion and shes dragging HIM down! as if he's the victim in the situation. youre all only looking at the surface of the song - shes having an abortion n its all sad and oh look what this poor guy has to go through. theres like two lines in the whole song about how shes feeling.

1 posts	rhythm melody instruments lyrics vocal ok, for all you who want to know what its about. abviously your havnt bought bens amazing live album. i suggest you go out and buy it. listen to the end of fred jones part 2. he states,"People have asked me what this song is about before - i'm sorry, i'm sorry, that's not cool to stop in the middle of a song, but I was just going to tell you, uh, yeah, I was asked about it a lot, and I didn't want to make a big hairy deal out of it cause I just wanted the song, to speak for itself, but the song was about when I was in high school, uh, me and my girlfriend had to get an abortion, and, uh, it was a very sad thing, and um, I didn't really want to write this song from any kind of political standpoint, or make a statement, I just wanted to reflect, uh, what it feels like, so if anyone, uh, has gone through it before, then yeah" cmon now, i cant believe you people havnt listened to the live cd.

1 posts	rhythm melody instruments lyrics vocal I think when he sings that "she's a brick and he's drowning slowly" it's not that he is saying she's dragging him down on purpose, but that it's so emotionally hard on her and there is nothing he can do. He loves her so much that he can't break himself away from her pain and therefore he's being drowned with her. This is an incredibly moving song.
