Maybe it was just my interpretation of the lyrics, but was this song about....getting into someones pants, so to speak.
Maybe it was just the verses "Surrender… yourself to me", "Even though I know what I’m looking for", and the ones before it only backing up how they may "owe" it to them/him.
Maybe I'm just taking a compleatly perverted perspective.

^Nirana8, that is not at all what the song is about. It is a REAL love song, all billy talent songs are from experience. And is actually about, a circomtance Ben ( the lead singer) was in with a friend..meaning that its about him and a friend that he liked but he was too scared to her the truth. "i never had the nerve to ask, as my moments come and passed."

God, I just noticed the actual lyrics to this song the other day while driving. Never paid attention before and it's totally what's going on in respect to me and a woman in my life. Great song.
It's a crappy situation and I sympathize with anyone that finds themselves in a similar situation. Here's to hope ladies and gentlemen.
And its not about "getting in someones pants". It's about someone that has fallen in that "friendship zone" with someone he is actually in love with and there appears to be no chance for them. She is oblivious to his true feelings.
I also take out of it that the girl in the song is searching for the right guy so to speak and to her it appears that this guy doesn't exist...when in reality he's sitting right in front of her.
