Song lyrics
Get up, stand up: stand up for your rights!
Get up, stand up: stand up for your rights!
Get up, stand up: stand up for your rights!
Get up, stand up: don't give up the fight!

Preacherman, don't tell me,
Heaven is under the earth.
I know you don't know
What life is really worth.
It's not all that glitters is gold;
'Alf the story has never been told:
So now you see the light, eh!
Stand up for your rights. Come on!

Get up, stand up: stand up for your rights!
Get up, stand up: don't give up the fight!
Get up, stand up: stand up for your rights!
Get up, stand up: don't give up the fight!

Most people think,
Great God will come from the skies,
Take away everything
And make everybody feel high.
But if you know what life is worth,
You will look for yours on earth:
And now you see the light,
You stand up for your rights. Jah!

Get up, stand up! (Jah, Jah!)
Stand up for your rights! (Oh-hoo!)
Get up, stand up! (Get up, stand up!)
Don't give up the fight! (Life is your right!)
Get up, stand up! (So we can't give up the fight!)
Stand up for your rights! (Lord, Lord!)
Get up, stand up! (Keep on struggling on!)
Don't give up the fight! (Yeah!)

Musikken tired of-a your ism-skism game -
Dyin' 'n' goin' to heaven in-a Jesus' name, Lord.
We know when we understand:
Almighty God is a living man.
You can fool some people sometimes,
But you can't fool all the people all the time.
So now we see the light (What you gonna do?),
We gonna stand up for our rights! (Yeah, yeah, yeah!)

So you better:
Get up, stand up! (In the morning! Git it up!)
Stand up for your rights! (Stand up for our rights!)
Get up, stand up!
Don't give up the fight! (Don't give it up, don't give it up!)
Get up, stand up! (Get up, stand up!)
Stand up for your rights! (Get up, stand up!)
Get up, stand up! ( ... )
Don't give up the fight! (Get up, stand up!)
Get up, stand up! ( ... )
Stand up for your rights!
Get up, stand up!
Don't give up the fight!

So when he said, "We sick an' tired of-a your ism-skism game -
Dyin' 'n' goin' to heaven in-a Jesus' name, Lord.
We know when we understand:
Almighty God is a living man.
You can fool some people sometimes,
But you can't fool all the people all the time.
So now we see the light (What you gonna do?),
We gonna stand up for our rights! (Yeah, yeah, yeah!)", does that mean he's for Christ or against our Lord, Jesus Christ? Kind of sounds like he's against Him.

Bob Marley wasn't against Jesus, you can see that from lyrics from the Redemption Song like "My hand was made strong by the hand of the Almighty" and lyrics from the song One Love "Give thanks and praise to the LORD and I will feel alright" and also he was a Rastafarian which is a branch of Christianity. I think what he was trying to say was that if you focus only on dying and being with Jesus in heaven youll miss Gods plan or destiny for you on Earth or you won't ever appreciate life for what it is as mentioned in earlier lyrics. Although this is just a guess.

Bob Marley became a Christian while he was in hospital being treated for his cancer. He got baptised just before he died.

You guys do not know much about marley huh. The large majority of his lyrics, practicaly all were focused around the tribulations that people faced in jamaica and the rastafari religion, which is a branch of judaism(jewish) religion which DID NOT BELIEVE IN JEWISH AS THE SON OF GOD. There are some rastafari that beleive in jesus though they are few in comparison. Also rastas do not believe in main stream -isms, practically just that religions ending with a ism, being that they believe they have become corrupt in the true perspective. His baptisim was one something that had to be done so he could have a funeral in a church of judah if he was in jamaica he would not have had to renounce jah, so many believe it was done for technicality especially as his family(those that were with him at the seromony) still believe in jah.
hope that cleared some thing up.
