 1 posts | First brand new album I bought and thank god I did! The lyrics, the rage and the quality of music is just perfect. Different from the ones before but as good. Thy have their own style that no one can do. Every album brings you something different, a good evolution all the time. Brand new's gotta be one of the best band ever! |

80 posts | I'm sure many people will argue against me for saying this, but Brand New's new album, The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me, is one of their worst works.
O.K., it's not a bad album, but it does not sound like Brand New at all. I love Deja Entendu and Your Favorite Weapon, which are both so much more upbeat and happy, and just full of killer songs. Songs that just rock and put a smile on my face. This new album seems to be waay too layered and complex, a little depressing, and there doesn't seem to be any anthem-like songs. Although I have only went through the entire CD twice now, I just don't find a lot of uniqueness and individuality between the songs.. they all just seem to be exactly the same-- it's all quiet and then storms in the loudness and screaming. Thats a bit of a trademark for Brand New, atleast I would say, but they exhibit it and overuse it WAAY too much on this album. I'm sorry, but I am greatly disappointed by their latest work. |

8 posts | i pre ordered this and this is definately worth the 15 bucks i did pay. but, deja and your favorite weapon are still their bests. i don't think any album could beat them. now.. i can't wait for their next album. haha. |

 3,639 posts | Sorry it's taking a while to get the lyrics up and doubly sorry if theyre not all 100% correct. The way he sings makes it to where the lyrics are ambigious at best in certain places. Hopefully the booklet has them in it. |
