Song lyrics
When I disappear, do you fear for the sister I took.
When I disappear, it is clear I am up to no good.
I am drearily bloodletting this bedwetting cosmonaut.
"Son, the last thing you'll realize you need is what you've already got."

So touch me or don’t.
Just let me know,
Where you’ve been.

Please drop me a line with a hook and some raw bleeding bait.
(One, two, three, four.)
For I am uncaught and still swimming alone in the lake.
(Five, six, seven, eight.)
Shimmering under a moon made in anger and hate.
Shimmering like a penny out of reach in the subway grate.
(Shimmering like a coin kept safe away,
You never give in to anything.)

So touch me or don’t.
Just let me know,
Where you’ve been.

We could leave it alone.
I’m sure there’s someone who knows,
Where you’ve been.

You never worked well with our group.
Not with the faults we found.
So we fixed you with cement galoshes,
And no one can save you now.
Unless you have friends among fish,
There’ll still be no air to breathe.
You could drink up the entire ocean.
I’ll still find someone to be everything we know that you’ll never be.

So touch me or don’t.
Just let me know,
Where you’ve been.

Or we could leave it alone.
I’m sure there’s someone who knows,
Where you’ve been.

the part at the end where it sounds like the song is over and then in comes in again strong...pure sex

I think it's "cement galoshes" not "sea-men's galoshes," like how the mobsters used to do. That song at about 3:50 scared the shit out of me the first time.

No rating on this song?
Are you kidding me?
SO RAW.
This is the best track out of the so album.
The mood set through out the beginning & middle
were completely slammed by the eargasm ending.
I'm probably going to remember & love this song for the rest of my life.
Brand New's done a whole lotta maturing since their freshmen album
Your Favorite Weapon when they wanted to be eighteen forever.
Don't get me wrong, though, I'll always love the pop punk Brand New in their beginnings, to their slow-tempo deeper Deja Entendu, to The Devil & God Are Raging Inside Me where it's angels whispering in your ear.
Brand New's only going to get better,
hopefully it won't take another three years to hear something new.

The play we are doing right now has Sowing Season during the beginning and Luca at the end. I die during Luca. It's my favorite off the album, followed by Degausser and the Archer's Bows Are Broken.

This song is pretty great.. Anybody catch the Godfather reference? Luca Brazi was a hitman for the corleone family.. He was basically used/sacraficed by the Corleone family to gain information from another family.. To me this song is a metaphore comparing The character Luca to a girl in a relationship. Luca brazi leaves the corleone family to get information from the other family.. a member of the other family then kills Luca. In other words a girl leaves Jesse to go to another guy and that guy { kills her Metaphorically} In the movie The corleone family started to wonder where luca could be.. they then got a fish from the other family symbolizing Luca's death. explains the Lines " We could leave this alone, I'm sure somebody knows where you been}
