| Great new song from Breaking Benjamin. I've liked this band ever since I heard Polyamorous from their first album Saturate. I immediately went out and purchased that album and the subsequent albums. I heard The Diary of Jane on The Buzz about a week ago and can't get enough of it. Every time I hear it I get chills and get this feeling thats very indescribeable. I wonder if that happens with anyone else. I'd say this is one of my top 5 favorite songs of theirs. ok so for whoever asked what the song is about. this is what i have heard. which i think sounds about right:
she (jane) is dead and they were married or living together and when he says "if i had to i would put myself right beside you" meaning shes dead and if she wanted he would be dead with her
and when he says "i will try to find my place in the diary of jane" hes going through he diary after she died and not finding his name hence the "as i burn another page as i look the other way"
go watch the video on youtube. you'll understand it better than just hearing it.

| I love this song - I've been a breaking benjamins fan since I first saw "Still Seeing Breen" a machinima music video filmed in Half-Life 2 for So Cold, and went and bought the album the next day - unfortunately, I couldn't get Saturate over here in Ireland, and I'm too lazy to order it at the moment, but Phobia is on my list to buy the second I see it - the songs I've heard are amazing!

When i was going to right this reply, i thought if id really but 5 stars in each part, i didnt thouht i did like it that much, but when i thought about it , nothing of those 5 options are bad or missing in The Diary Of Jane, so a 5 star;D
The new album is really wonderufll ! , but i prefer the older ones, mostly we're not alone here, since i think theyre more emotional and "unsteady" when he sings, the unsteady thing is allways a bad thing, but not for Breaking Benjamin, theree is something special ive never seen in another band with them, To bad it fades away a little in Phobia, but Phobia's songs are more organised and Welldone, which is also a bonus .. so its hard to pick but, We're not alone is the best
Ey i saw one of you posted about the songs meaning, great post i really think, I think its at least near the real meaning, but the lyrics are probably even more complicated than the first sight, so you never know ..
