Originally called Breed pure an’ simple, the revitalised Breed 77 line up, with new Spanish guitarist Pedro Caparros, are presently blazing a trail through Europe and beyond. Following the release of their eponymous debut album the band hit the UK circuit in early 2002 and is now on an international multi-pronged assault.

Their story began in February 2002 with the signing of a five-album recording agreement with Albert Productions, home of the legendary AC/DC. That, coupled with strong reaction from their early UK tour, attracted the attention and interest of top US management firm The Left Bank Organization. From then the story has been building.

Breed 77’s album was released in France in March 2002 through independent distributor United Music Company (UMC). What started out as a small shipment of their incredible self designed 'Crucifix Digipak' has escalated to 3000 units within two months and resulted in full chain store racking, rave French press reviews, radio playlists and full media attention. Respected French promoter Jules Fruttos has taken on representation of the band, as has Breed’s new US agent Keith Naisbitt (APA Agency).

Breed 77 - A band with talent; self-belief; drive and fuck off attitude;

Within three weeks of their debut album release in the UK, respected TOTALROCK DJ Andy King had the foresight and wisdom to publish this :

"These guys write great, hooky, rocking songs which are infused with subtle soupcons of Moorish and Arabic ingredients. My top album of the year (!) and a real must for anyone who likes their metal both Nu and traditional at the same time."

...And so say us, the French, Portuguese, Australians, Irish and Americans !!
