 This summer, Pure Charts decided to follow all of France's festivals. Our teams will give photos, videos & latest news... Until late August, you'll read interviews of artists who appear during the festivals. Meeting with Sylvie Hoarau & Aurélie Saada, from the duet Brigitte, before their concert at La Rochelle's Francofolies.Are The Francofolies a festival that you love ? Aurélie : It's great to come back here. In 2011, we performed at La Coursive, this time it'll be on the Grande Scène, it's a beautiful evolution. In between, we've been on tour all around France, we have a lot of chance. Moreover, we have been superbly welcomed, people are adorable. Are you impatient to see your audience again in La Rochelle ? Sylvie : We're delighted, we know that'll play in an exceptionnal place, with the sea, the sea & thousands of people who, I hope, will be happy to see us. It's an ideal situation. Tonight, we're giving a particular concert, we have backing vocalists & musicians, on percussion & keyboards. It'll be the fiesta on stage. Which souvenir do you want that people keep of your perfomance ? Aurélie : We'd still like that people are happy to see us, it's much better. Here, we invited more musicians because it's a large scene, we can allow it. We want the spectators to have a good time, it's nice when people clap their hands. Sylvie : On the one hand, people know our album & I hope they'll be nicely surprised & they'll love us more. On the other hand, people don't know us & I hope that we'll please them. It's always a challenge to go on stage. Do you have time to enjoy concerts at the Francos ? Aurélie : Unfortunately not but I wished I'd seen Izia. I love her, she's extraordinary live. I've seen her in New York 3 weeks ago & I'd like to see her again, but not on Saturday. What do you like most while performing in festivals ? Sylvie : There's always a happy ambience, either in winter or in spring, when it's an open air concert, there are many bands & we know most of them. Finally, there's a bit of holidays. Again, spectators are curious. At first, they come to see one or 2 artists & finally, they discover others. We know that people will discover us tonight. Our show is on the tracks, we've been touring for months & we know what to do but at the same time, nothing's gained. |
