Britt Nicole - Gold Review
28-04-2012 15:24 | 0 comment(s)
Twenty-something Christian pop artist Britt Nicole is back with her third studio album, Gold, found on her home label, Sparrow Records. Britt hopes the new album will build on her highly successful last album, The Lost Get Found.

The new release features songs penned by Britt, along with fellow songwriters David Garcia and Ben Glover. Seasoned producers Chris Stevens (TobyMac, Mandisa) and Dan Muckala (Brandon Heath, MercyMe) were also brought on board to help out on Gold.

The tracks that make up Gold feature Britt's trademark pop sound along with several club/dance songs that keep your feet moving. The tracks deal with themes of not being afraid to trust God totally with all aspects of your life along with stories that are centered on Britt's own faith life. She also deals with not being afraid to step out of your comfort zone with your faith.

The best example of one of those personal faith life stories is the track, "All This Time." The track is the first single from, Gold, and has been rapidly climbing up several different music charts.

The song deals with Britt's own salvation story. "'All This Time', is the story of how I met Jesus," says Britt. She says that, "It's a reminder that whatever we face in life, we don't have to face it alone, because Jesus promised to never leave us or forsake us."

Some other stand out tracks includes, "Gold," that deals with realizing your true inner beauty. The track, "Ready or Not," features vocals from Britt along with some guest rapping from featured artist Lecrae. The track features lyrics about sharing your faith with everyone you can around the entire world.

If you're in the mood for some up tempo dance club music to get your feet moving then give the bonus track, "Amazing Life (Remix)," a listen.

With her latest release, Gold, Britt Nicole continues to stake out a place in the top echelon of today's talented young female Christian artists.
