Brooke Hogan has definitely redeemed herself with her 14 set album, Redemption. Her vocals are stronger and the lyrics are more meaningful than her debut album, Undiscovered.
Opening up the album is the intro track that talks about her family issues such as her mother dating a 19-year-old and her brothers incarceration. Redemption is very personal and draws listeners into the life of Ms. Brooke Hogan.
Her single, Falling, featuring rapper Stack$, is a typical love song about finding the right one and eventually falling in love. Her beautiful voice blends with the soft melody of the song which gives off that happy and cozy feeling.
Another track, titled Dear Mom, shows the serious side of Brooke. She begins the song by saying, Its such a shame when someone you were born to love, isnt that person anymore. This one is for you. I love you, but you got to change. Then into the song, she tells the story about how her mothers negative choices in life affected her. At the end of the track, theres a recording of Brooke and her mother talking while in the background Brookes voice continually says, Shut up! Shut up! Dear Mom is an edgy song that most of her fans can understand where she is coming on.
Overall, Redemption is the diary of Brookes life. Fans can dance to her tracks like Ruff Me Up or reminisce to songs like The One That Got Away and Hey Yo! This is an album that appeals to all emotions and shockingly I caught myself singing some of her lyrics. Her fans will not be disappointed when listening to Redemption. |
