Camille - News

New album in 2008

She surprised her fans by singing in churches last summer. The singer Camille, who created the event 2 years ago with her album Le Fil, will be back on stage in 2008 with a new album.

"This year, news caught my eye" Camille said. "Why so many religious conflicts ? For me, an atheist who grew up in a religious country, it's difficult to understand. That's why I wanted, between 2 albums, to explore religion in music, in a joyful & eclectic way : Anglican Christmas songs revisited by Benjamin Britten (NB: English composer dead in 1976) then prayers of the world. If God is, so God is for sound."

In June 2007, Camille was performing at Paris' Saint-Eustache church. Apart from Britten, she also sang "A Ceremony Of Carol", created in 1942, & a personal composition named "Les Douze Prières Du Monde" with Julia Sarr, Indi, Majiker & Sébastien Martel.

The parenthesis are closed. Camille will be back next year with a new album, follow-up of the good welcoming for Le Fil (thanks to the hit "Ta Douleur"). Let's bet that success will be there for her third studio album. She will perform at Paris' Cigale from May 23 to May 27, 2008. Places are already available.

Also, the singer performed a song in "Ratatouille" soundtrack, named "Le Festin", available on the album, click here.
