AboutCansei de Ser Sexy, aka CSS, is a band from São Paulo, Brazil, formed by the end of 2003. The name is the Portuguese for "Got tired of Being Sexy". The members are: Lovefoxxx (vocals), Adriano Cintra (drums, guitar, vocals and production), Luiza Sá (guitar, drums and keys), Ana Rezende (guitar and harmonica), Iracema Trevisan (bass) and Carol Parra (guitar and drums).
Like the Arctic Monkeys, CSS became known through the internet. The brazilian band became famous at Trama Virtual website, which is a kind of Brazilian MySpace. Before signing with a major label, in 2004, they played at Tim Festival in the same night and at the same stage that 2 Many Dj's and Kraftwerk performed.
In 2005, they signed with Trama Virtual and in October of the same year their first album was released in Brazil along with an EP that can be bought at concerts.
In the beginning of 2006, CSS signed with Sub Pop to release their first international album and in July they made a thirty-gig tour through USA and Canada along with Diplo and Bonde Do Rolê.
Now they are supporting Ladytron in their tour through US and Europe until the end of 2006.
In december the will be supporting Basement Jaxx at UK. In January of 2007 CSS is touring in Australia, New Zealand and Japan.
