100 posts | Ehem. To the people who dissed MCR because the are not 'goth' enough or whatever, you are entitled to your own opinion. But, come on! First of all, there are levels of Gothic-ness. You've got the historic goths (as in the people who lived in the gothic period of time), the rock goth (you know what i mean), 'goth' that refers to people with dark thoughts/black shirts/'i-hate-my-life' aura, etcetera etcetera. MCR, in my opinion, is something like Emo goth. You've got the dark thoughts (refer to lyrics), the clothes...the makeup maybe, and so on. But you've also got Gerard's emo voice and the music. So they are not posers. That's just probably how gothic they want to be.  to you.
Anyway, about this song, it's one of those songs that you just cant help but listen to. Especially at high volumes. I especially like the whisper to scream effect in the intro. And it's my ideal earworm (a.k.a. last song syndrome song).
And, yeah, it is for Gerard's and his brother's grandmother. Not his girlfriend. Please don't overromanticize it to your advantages. |
