Find me here
And speak to me
I want to feel You
I need to hear You
You are the light
That's leading me
To the place
Where I find peace again
You are the strength
That keeps me walking
You are the hope
That keeps me trusting
You are the life
To my soul
You are my purpose
You're everything
And how can I stand here with You
And not be moved by You
Would You tell me how could it be
Any better than this
(Ahh Yeahhh)
You calm the storms
And You give me rest
You hold me in your hands
You won't let me fall
You steal my heart
And You take my breath away
Would You take me in
Would You take me deeper, now
And how can I stand here with You
And not be moved by You
Would You tell me how could it be
Any better than this
And how can I stand here with You
And not be moved by You
Would You tell me how could it be
Any better than this
Cause you're all I want
You're all I need
You're everything, everything
You're all I want
You're all I need
You're everything, everything
You're all I want
You're all I need
You're everything, everything
You're all I want
You're all I need
Everything, everything...
When how can I stand here with You
And not be moved by You
Would you tell me how could it be
Any better than this
Oh And how can I stand here with You
And not be moved by You
Would You tell me how could it be
Any better any better than this
And how can I stand here with You
And not be moved by You
Would You tell me how could it be
Any better than this
Would You tell me how could it be
Any better than this....

vocal I totally love this song!!! It has amazing lyrics and I get goose bumps everytime I hear it. And it's totally amazing that they're a Christian band. I didn't know as a fact until now. But I kind of knew that it was Christian.
"You calm the storms
And You give me rest"---- Totally referring to God. Jason wrote the song for God.

vocal this song is def. about God and how much love the singer feels for him..i mean i guess you could take it in a boyfriend/girkfriend type way..but that nothing compared to Gods love
Concerning the latter, most artists compose a song based upon their own emotions, feelings, etc. . . it is in that regards that we as humans are beautiful. We all have our own interpretation of music, literature, movies, art, etc . . . With that being said, I believe this to be a song for our Glorious Jesus Christ. My interpretation is based upon the following:
You are the life
To My Soul
Within all of our souls is the life, and light of Jesus Christ. Thus, this is the reasoning behind my interpretation. If you haven't had a chance to listen to this song, you must, it is best enjoyed by oneself so that you can reflect on it. Well i'll get off my box lol.

vocal To me, this song brings a message. A message asking the lord, how can I be so stupid? You are the one that I can't live without. And all I do is stand here and do nothing, the Lord is the greatest person ever, and we literally cannot do anything without him.
"For in him, we live and move and have our being." Acts 16:28

vocal This song is totally about someone admitting life is futile without Jesus. I love this song. Brings me back to the basis of my faith, it's a great reminder. Yes, literature, art, can be interpretted in many ways. But honestly it is good to know the intent of the artist, i mean how many times have we thought of what the artist was thinking about while writing a song or creating a piece of art. who was it..... francis bacon, he did freaky messed up paitings of people, i wonder about his take on life and man. So yea i know a lot of ppl first impression of these kinds of songs are for a loved one, a person, but it's about emotions and issues dealing something so much more deeper. it's good that Lifehouse was open about their Christianity, cuz it shows that songs like these are about something much deeper than the physical into the spiritual. so yes, this can be interpretted in many ways, but consider the intent and emotions of the writer, and think of it through a different view. another good song that brings the same debate is Let It All Out- by Reliant K, another christian band and beautiful song. check it out. peace and love to you all.

vocal this song is ment for god, yes. and about 80% of the people who hear it, think it's about love. and there have been a lot of fights about it. but honestly, who cares? let anybody interperate it any way they like! it's still an amazing song!
who cares about what the lyrics mean, just listen to it and enjoy it. think whatever makes you happy. it honestly doesnt matter. how does it affect anybody else except for you? i love the lyrics and the music. put them together it makes a great song. this is definitly my favorite song by lifehouse, maybe even my favorite song, period. i like to think its about love. that's how i like it. i say, bravo lifehouse, and keep it up.
I think this song is absolutely great...no matter what it is truly about.
I do think that it being about God makes it even better! It's a great song no matter what way you look at it. Artists create songs a lot of times about situations & things that have happened in [/i]their life BUT they put their songs out there for [/i]us therefore I think we can interpret it anyway we want. Just because it's a song wrote for God doesn't mean someone can't relate it to their life & have it as a song for their relationship with their significant other. God is in fact the one Who brought our loved ones to us.
and i do realize alot of people think of it as a love song; it is, no doubt. but its also a love song to God, a song that speaks of his vulnerability and his need for God in his life - an acknowledgement that he cannot live his life without God's guidance all the way.
beautiful song. (: i simply love it and i'm glad to find many others who do too.

Hi.. I def looooove this song. But I just dont understand what this part means:
And how can I stand here with you
And not be moved by you
I just dont get it!!! Any1 plz??
hey gabych91,
just wanted to answer your question...
well for Christians we go to church and worship God. we have this part of our service that is dedicated to praise & worship - which is basically singing songs to Him in praise and worshipping His name and glory.
yet there are always people who are standing there singing, in God's presence as the rest of the congregation are worshipping, and they can remain unmoved by His presence in that hall. its not something bad, i myself do feel that way sometimes when i stand there but its always best to "stand here with you/and be moved by you". (pardon my editing of his lyrics, just wanted to make it clearer)

vocal Its good that people are finally realizing what this song is really about. Its not a love song about some girl. But it is truely a beautiful song!
That's the great thing about having your own opinion... you can think it's a song praising God or you can think of it as a love song. It's all about world view!
Praise God!! He is my everything!!! My youth group does a human video to this song...truly amazing. i love lifehouse...and how they are reaching people for Christ...you know people who wouldn't normally listed to a Christian band, but they hear Lifehouse songs on secular (sp?) radio and drawn to them. God can be awfully sneaky!!! God bless!!

vocal I love this song. It's so beautiful and meaningful.
I understand that he may have written the song about God, but I see it as about love in general. People interpret songs the way they want to. And I see it being about love. ^^
