I feel like this song expresses the general feeling of the human soul. We sometimes feel lost and forget how many people care about our life. Whatever the 'ship' may be that took us away, it's there... Sometimes we dont feel like life is worth living, chasing that starlight so many million light years away.
And we all have this need for that someone. The one person we want to hold. The one person who electrifies our life and we never want to give up on as long as they promise they wont give up on us either. Someone many of us havent found, or perhaps have been too blind to recognize, but someone who exists for every one of us if we can only look correctly.
We hope for a revelation, but sometimes expect things to just get sucked up and just cease. Or we have hopes and expectations, but our expectations get sucked up because our hope for a revelation comes true and what we expected is nothing compared to what is, or is so far off that we wouldnt even like to admit it.
This song says alot..
And as always the music of muse is catchy and simple enough that you can enjoy it the first time, yet encompassing enough that you can listen to it over and over without getting bored. The vocal quality is so unique and definitive that if for nothing else(although there are other things) just the singer's voice makes muse worthwhile to listen to!
