this song...hm...isn't very good. of course, this is coming from an extreme metalhead with a great background in music, so it is typical for me to dislike this song. i have heard critics say that it is a dark song, but it truly isn't. it's simply another emo kid singalong. the "screaming" is incredibly whiny and goes with the singing...whiny is not good. reminds me of ben afflick, orlando bloom, and mark hammil in star wars. all three are irritating characters. the guitar uses only downstrokes, which while are more powerful than upstrokes, are not good to use solely in a song. the lyrics make me sad...not to the point where i want to cry, but to the point at which i wish to snort a lung out of my nose instead of listening to them. another thing: they call themselves "punk" but they are so full of shit. they are so popular, they might as well just call themselves pop or mainstream coz punk, in my experience means not liking popularity or attention. they revel in it. anyway, i've written a novel and i believe that is enough crappy band bashing for one day. |

I do have to admit that Good Charlotte are kind of posers. Now, dont get me wrong, I'm not a big athority on punk music but I have noticed the difference between them and other REAL punk bands. They are waaaaaaaay more pop. But anyways...I do like this song. I like all types of music and I like this song. Plus, Benjii and Joel are sooo hot!!

| lil demon...you seem a bit...bipolar. i do like the bands you listed (Pink Floyd is one of my favorites) but i doubt that if anyone listens to good charlotte and likes them they will enjoy pink floyd led zeppelin or metallica. by the way, please never call me fatdoggie again. |
