| Song lyrics |
So scream, I heard about your message,
and how it reeked of your indifference.
It bleeds horizontal straight from your wrists.
(So scream louder now.)
I'm bound to come around, I'm bound.
(I'm bound to come around.)
Well can't you, can't you feel it
rollin' off your lips, tensing up your shoulders.
Come on, say it.
Well it's love.
(It's love.)
Make it hurt.
(I deserve it.)
Well it's love.
(It's love.)
Make it hurt.
(I deserve it.)
Well it's love, it's love, it's love.
Make it hurt.
I said I used the inconsistencies to undress the machine.
You're the poster boy,
their selling point,
the focus for the new campaign.
(Something has to be done.)
I'm bound to come around, I'm bound.
(I'm bound to come around.)
Can't you, can't you feel it,
rollin' off your lips, tensing up your shoulders.
Come on...
Well it's love.
(It's love.)
Make it hurt.
(I deserve it.)
Well it's love.
(It's love.)
Make it hurt.
(I deserve it.)
Well it's love, it's love, it's love.
Make it hurt.
The keys to the castle are right where I left them.
The princess walked in just to take more attention.
'Cause after all, well isn't that all that I've been after,
and after all, well isn't that all that I'm after yourself.
(No way out.)
I give up in me.
Well, I give up in you.
(No way out)
I give up in me.
(No way out)
Well, I give up in you.
I give up in you.
(No way out)
I give up in you.
I wanted you for nothing more
than hating you for what you were.
If that's what you wanted to hear.
(Well, if that's what you wanted to hear.)
I wanted you for nothing more
than hating you for what you were.
(Don't leave, leave.)
If that's what you wanted to hear.
(If that's what you wanted to hear)
I wanted you for nothing more
than hating you for what you were.
(Don't leave, leave.)
If that's what you wanted to hear.
(If that's what you wanted…)
(It's love, it's love.)
I wanted you for nothing more
(Make it hurt, I deserve it.)
than hating you for what you were.
(If that's what you wanted to hear.)
That's what you wanted to hear.
(To hear.)
That's what you wanted to hear.
(If that is how we let it burn.)

I just bought the new CD, and the entire thing is absolutely amazing. They haven't lost anything from the old CD. Their sound has only improved, and I didn't think it was possible, but so have their lyrics. | 28-07-2004 10:24 vdubu3 | 2 posts

| any of you who have the cd...were you just a little confused by the lyrics in the cover slip thing? they didn't seem the same as the songs to me? maybe i'm dumb and couldn't read them right or something but... | 03-08-2004 02:48 snuffy | 26 posts
| Yea TBS doesnt put their lyrics in the right order in their cover slips. Don't know why. | 03-08-2004 13:58 tom_harris4 | 3,369 posts
| Yeah, they don't put all of the lyrics there and they add other bits and t is generally annoying! | 03-08-2004 21:51 heyromantica | 51 posts

Alrighty, here goes: The band, Taking Back Sunday, was as follows: Eddie Reyes, guitar. Adam Lazzara, lead vocals. John Nolan, guitar/vocals. Shaun Cooper, bassist and Mark O'Connel, drums. Shaun Cooper and John Nolan left, in the middle of a tour. They found replacements soon enough, which would be Matt Rubano, new bassist, and Fred Mascherino, the new back-up vocalist, and I suppose he plays guitar too. This was awhile ago. Since then, they've played shows with the new members. I don't understand why people are JUST NOW complaining about the new vocals, when all shows have been new vocals. I'm referring to my friends on that one. Anyway, the breaking up had nothing whatsoever to do with the Adam/Jesse thing. Which by the way it WAS Adam, not John Nolan. Adam and Jesse Lacey were buds when they were younger, Adam slept with his girlfriend. Jesse Lacey came out with the song, "Seventy times 7" dedicated to Adam, and Adam responded with, "There's No 'I' In Team." They're all good though. In the Brand New album, Deja Entendu, it says to listen to Taking Back Sunday. And also, the lyrics things, I don't think is annoying. I look at it this way: songs are poetry, right? But when you're writing a poem you don't write the same line over and over again, such as "Say yes, say yes, say yes, say yes, say yes" or "I give up in you," which is repeated almost five times. So basically, they're putting what inspired the songs in the front cover, and I think that's better than the lyrics. Plus they fit better because it's shorter than the lyrics. I think it's creative and unique. That's what Taking Back Sunday is all about. | 04-08-2004 03:21 BNOBNTBSDC | 692 posts
| I agree with you there...thats smart I mean it helps to get such a bigger meaning for the song and you get what its really about way easier...love it | 05-08-2004 03:16 snuffy | 26 posts
| Sorry Romantica, but that is false information, here's a link to a Straylight Run resource, it answers alot of the questions and the gossip that people seem to be getting mixed up with other things that arent true.

| Sorry if my information was false. That link doesn't go anywhere though... Or maybe my computer's just being retarded. | 06-08-2004 21:39 heyromantica | 51 posts
| Oh wow. Alright links worked now, and you are correct. I KNOW I read somewhere, on a site that is was Adam and Jesse. But I guess this is much more authentic. Thanks for clearing that up. | 07-08-2004 00:46 snuffy | 26 posts
| Yea, I just got so confused, I had to find out for sure. I also found something Jesse Lacey said on a legit site about him and John. Doot doot doot. Anyways just wanted to clear that up.
Praise to the new album, it's grown on me, and I really like it now. =) | 11-08-2004 20:25 heyromantica | 51 posts

I agree...If you really like the band you should show your support by paying to listen to their music...in this case, it's well worth it | 01-09-2004 19:49 BNOBNTBSDC | 692 posts
| i believe that if you like a band enough to burn the Cd so you can always listen then you should love them enough to go out and BUT IT. and SUPPORT THE BANDS. they need it and it shows them exactly how much we all love them. how are they supposed to make any more kick ass music if they arent getting money from anywhere? | 02-09-2004 02:08 space_cadet3 | 25 posts
