23 posts	rhythm melody instruments lyrics vocal its up to your own intepretation...death, breakup, divorce or whatever. it really hit my weak spots and made me reminicse about an old partner. makes you all sad, nostalgic, and emotional thinking about a failed relationship that you had high hopes for. the song is absolutely beautiful and his singing is incredibly moving.

23 posts	hi again, actually after re-reading the lyrics I'm pretty sure James Blunt was writing about a breakup, cos in the first stanza he asks "did i disappoint you or let you down" and laments that "he saw the end before it began" meaning he kind of expected she would eventually leave him...

If you give a song 5 in everything, it is really the best song you have ever heard, and you can never hear a better one.
