vocal What makes this song great is (1) the great word pictures - you can see yourself walking up to someone's flat or contemplating how a relationship can still work, and (2) the utter futility of the whole enterprise - the writer KNOWS it's over - and only the scientific impossibility of turning back time will solve the problem. The plaintive yodeling/howling at the end says it all. A masterpiece.
