Every word seems to fit perfectly with the music. To answer anyones questions about what this song is about, Chris Martin, wrote it about his wife Gwenyth Paltrow. After Gwenyth's father passed away, Chris wrote this song about how she had to deal with losing him, considering her and her father were so close. The lyrics "when you loose something you cant replace", are saying how she had to lose her father, and that Chris couldnt replace him. Many of the other lyrics in this song all lead to expalining how Gwenyth felt, and how no matter what Chirs did, he couldnt bring back her father, but he could only comfort her in this time of loss. "Tears stream down your face", is saying how he saw her mourn her fathers death. When I had this meaning explained to me, the song meant so much more, because its not just about a relationship between boyfreind and girlfriend, its about how to overcome the loss of someone close to you, but having someone else who you care about to get you through it. |

15 posts | ive never really liked coldplay that much but when i saw them on live 8 and they sang this i thought it was amazing!then i was listening to the radio a couple of hours after the bombs on london and they played fix you over the news reports. the way it was put together was really sweet. it made me feel like i was gonna cry!and being a fellow londoner myself i felt really moved by fix you! |

I was so pleased when this song was used on The OC, is was very fitting with what was happening on the episode and it was so moving. I love this song so much, it's amazing. Anyone who doesn't like this song seriously has something wrong with them. This is the kind of song that most people would enjoy even if they're not a fan of this type of music. Beautiful. Coldplay should be so proud, it's one of those songs that is so good it makes you wish you wrote it yourself. |
