| Maybe I am way off here, but I think it has to do with a child being born. Just from reading the lyrics, especially the first verse. I haven't seen the video, so I don't know the direction that the band took the song, but it seems that way to me! |

| oh ya. 4got to ask yall. do u guys think it b a good idea if i lead dat song 'dare u to move' in worship..?? we dont got alot peeps..jst about 25 i think but it was bigger den b4 yay hehe.. i think dat song would b great to sing when der r more peeps but since we dont got dat many.. shall i still introduce dat song? oh ya and another thin.. most ppl arnt use to shown here emotions while singin dey kinda shy and dat others who ant.. dont cuz dey feel wierd cuz no one b movin lol i mean even i sometyms feel wierd hehe im just a beginner in leadin dat songs.. how can i show or tell den ? oh ya.. one mroe thin is dat we usually play dat piano but im gonna try using a cd instead.. neways i dunno if i made sense here.. newais let me know wut u think guys.. cherrs yall  |

holy crap. this is such a great song. i just went to the switchfoot concert last nite(@reds.west edmonton.alberta...) it was so much fun and they ended the concert with this song. it was awesome! Was anyone else ther?? |

| oh and just to let you all kno it is a christian/religious song bcuz at the concert rite before they sang the song they said "how about we praise the lord" and they sang this song...i think that realllly means somethin. |

| this song is about the tension between what is right and what is "considered" right. The lead singer and bassist are brothers and are sons of the head pastor of North Coast Calvary Chapel in Carlsbad. They are Christians in a band not necessarily a Christian band because they sing about everything about life. And that is what i love about them.
before they sing dare you to move, jon always says "my friends. the tension is here. i dare you to move." i think the lyrics speak for themselves. dont try to overanalyze it ... just take it as it is. |
