I just completely love this song...it's so inspirational. I love the video too! Where the guy comes alive again because of his bad memories as a child and it's like he desides without any thought process to make himself live the life that he wanted to live before the bad memories, I just love the whole thing...the song and the video for that matter make you think a little though, which I like!

sure, people have challenges in life and everyone needs a way and the strength to deal with problems, mistakes, or whatever...
but god doesn't exist and this song is encouraging a hurtful and desperate fantasy that only distracts people from doing the things that could actually help themselves or each other.

Well as i think and as my bro discussed with his band(hes a massive fan of Swtichfoot(get the new Live in San Diego it r0x  )) the video shows a person (a christian) running against the flow. The others are going towards the other end where the earthly things are(as you can see they are the vast majority) and not to where the christian is running to; God. I think this is a powerful song, i like it most out of there intier revitoire, however i like all of their songs loads ^^ |

i did think that this was a nice song, yet i see quite a few pple dissing cuz it's by a "pansy" christian band
i myself am not christian... but i think the song is quite inspiring...
the rest of the album is slightly disappointing though... my choice cuts are Meant to Live and On Fire, the rest have rather poor tunes |

ok the song is great but the video does not symbolize some guy finding his way to christ. it's about a young man who's drowned going through different points in his life- 2 major spills with similar results as a kid, his first love, his parents arguing... the people running around on the beach are either a)listening to the life guard's instructions b) running to see if he's ok or c) just running away from the scene of an almost dead person. then the young man coughs up the water afer the cpr is done on him. that's all... i do love this song though. and i really like this band |
