vocal omggg!!! i am in love with this song!! i love the RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS! there one of my favorite bands.. and i love their music video for dani california.. in my opinion i think its funny how they switch from being different kinds of ppl.. its a really cool twist to it.. so pretty much an easier way to sum up what i want to say is..

As Anthony Kiedis has said, Dani California 'embodies all the women from his past relationships'. He goes on to say that for this song, it'd be a perfect place to tell a story. While writing the lyrics, Anthony realized that he was writing about the same character as was written about in 'By The Way', Dani, and that her story was 'just kind of developing'.

i think this is one of the gayest songs i have ever heard. half the time i dont even know what they are talking about. the lyrics arent any good and the chorus is terrible. i cant stand this song and the radio stations should quit playing that song so much.

This song's got a lot of people, like "Black Eyed Peas"-fans and such, to like Red Hot Chili Peppers. I dislike that. I asked a girl, that had actually bought a RHCP T-shirt, what song she liked the most. "Dani California, of course". So I ask her what her favorite album is, and she looks at me as if I was stupid. "Ehhh, album? I've only heard that song on the radio". This person had a T-shirt with the band.
This stupidity causes me for some reason to like this song, among others, a bit less, even though I usually don't care much.

Just wanted to comment ThatJohnny.. you're so right. I get irritated with lots of people who has a t-shirt of a band just because when they've heard like one song. Dani Califorina is great btw, the album too. And all the other albums too by rhcp too . Can't wait to December, I'm gonna see them live then

vocal at first I was like " what the hell?!?!?" then my friends like "give it a chance" and i did and now it's 1 of my favorite songs and it's been on my myspace forever and my world geograpy class learned some of the states with this song hehehe 4 thumbs up (big toes included)
